I DO NOT PLA ON BUYING FROM MAYTAG OR WHIRLPOOL WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE! ZERO STARS if it were possible I've been a loyal Whirlpool/Maytag customer for YEARS, but after this absolutely HORRIFIC experience, I will NEVER purchase from them again and I'm warning everyone I know to STAY AWAY!My Maytag washer was delivered late on February 18th and has been COMPLETELY DEFECTIVE FROM DAY ONE.

It has NEVER WORKED A SINGLE TIME! I immediately reported the issue, but it took them TWO FULL WEEKS just to send a technician. Now it's March 11th - that's over THREE WEEKS without a functioning washer that I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR!The worst part? I have a NEWBORN BABY at home with sensitive skin, forcing me to drive 45 MINUTES EACH WAY to a laundromat multiple times a week just to wash my baby's clothes!

Despite purchasing a 5-YEAR WARRANTY, Maytag REFUSES to exchange this defective machine for a working one.Today's experience was the final straw. I was put on hold for 2 HOURS AND 7 MINUTES only to be HUNG UP ON! When I finally reached someone named Precious from their service department, she was RUDE, DISMISSIVE, and had the audacity to tell me they "can't do anything to help" because it's been "over 3 weeks." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The washer has NEVER WORKED, and the delay in service was ENTIRELY THEIR FAULT!Every time I call, I'm put on endless holds while they show ZERO CONCERN for my situation.

I spent THOUSANDS on a washer/dryer set, and their solution is to DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING?!SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND HEARTBREAK! If you make the mistake of buying from Maytag/Whirlpool, PRAY your appliance works perfectly because if it doesn't, you'll be STUCK with an expensive paperweight and treated like you're the problem!WORST.

I contacted Maytag to see who their authorized repair person in Saskatoon was as my dishwasher had leaked and there was water under the dishwasher and I was worried about water damage to my flooring or cupboards. Fortunately, we caught it right away and I was able to turn the shut off to the dishwasher off.

They would not tell me who their authorized appliance company wasother than that they would have an appliance person out to fix my 6+ year old Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB8959SFZ4 but it could be 2 days or more. I said I was not leaving water under my dishwasher for 2 days and that I would call an appliance person if they were not willing to tell me who they used and I told them the names of a couple of appliance companies. The next thing I know Shaughnessay Appliance calls me and they can come out. This was one of the appliance places that I had mentioned to Maytag.

Shaughnessy attended and found a leak in the hose to the water inlet. He was going to order the part and return. During the visit he disconnected the dishwasher and pulled it out so I could clean underneath. Luckily there was no damage to the flooring or cabinets but there was damage to two of my ceiling tiles in the basement.

At some point, I shall go into the storage room as I believe I still have part of a box of tiles left. When he returned and changed to hose, he found that the water tank had *** in it and was spraying water and that the engine, motor was leaking. He told me that the motor would be $600.00 and the water tank/inlet valve around $150. This was material and labor.

I asked him to do up a report with an estimate on the cost of the damages. I received the estimate and tax in came to $809.64. Since this I have gone back in my notes and within the first 2 years spent $210 on wheels for the low rack and approx $350 on a new soap dispenser around 4 years old. This product has nickel and dimed us and now has major repairs so we shall be looking at Maytag's retailer Midtown Appliance under statute law for products that do not meet customer expectations.

They in turn can look to Maytag. Years ago, approx 2000, we had a 5 year old Maytag refrigerator go - compressor failure.

At that time, I was told that Maytag had gone to a different manufacturer and that there products were crap but when I purchased these ones, I was told that they had gone back to their old manufacturer and that products were once again better made. Obviously this was in no way the truth and this time, I shall be looking for damages for at least the cost of these repairs $809.64 to put towards my new Bosch dishwasher.

I purchased a Maytag dryer -because of its reputation, it was dependable. Unfortunately, the inside drum has begun to peel.

I bought this product at Lowes and they refused to resolve it. I have tried to reach out to Maytag and Lowes Rep has reached out to Maytag. To date, this Maytag dryer inside drum is peeling. The drum looks like a nightmare.

I recommend you NOT buy this product until Maytag can stand behind their product 100%. I will continue to try to reach out to the CEO's headquarters to get this problem resolved along with keeping with Lowes where I purchased this product a year and a half old trying to negotiate with Lowes where I purchased this product is a year and a half old.

Getting warranty on the phone is near impossible. Washer is less than 4 months old and has been nothing but issue after issue.

Does not wash well at all. Shirts pretreated for stains are coming out with the spray & wash treatment still visible and shirts dont look like theyve been washed at all. Shirts have been through 2 complete wash cycles and dont appear wet; barely damp. This machine has been kept pristine and no cycles are ever overloaded.

Absolutely no reason for clothes not coming out clean. I wish I could return this machine.

I will never buy another Maytag product. The pictures show 2 pretreated shirts straight out of the washer AFTER 2 complete wash cycles.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the performance of my Maytag washer, Model MVWB765FW (SKU: 559****), purchased in 2016. In 2020, I experienced significant issues, including smoke smells and water leakage, and promptly had it repaired under warranty by an authorized technician.

However, since that repair, the washer has not functioned properly. Specifically, the machine no longer fully drains, requiring me to run multiple cycles to complete a wash. This inconvenience and failure in performance was never an issue prior to the repair. I believe this ongoing problem is directly related to the service performed, and I find it unacceptable to be dealing with a faulty machine after what should have been a comprehensive repair.

I am demanding a solution to this issue without incurring additional charges for another service repair. Given the timeline and continued malfunction following the initial service, I expect Maytag to stand by its product and rectify this situation promptly, either through a free repair or replacement. Please respond at your earliest convenience with a clear plan to resolve this matter.

My washing machine will be a year old in April. I bought a Maytag because I had owned a Maytag that lasted me over 20 years.

I could have bought a fancier washer with all the 'smart' features, but I went with a very basic model Maytag (MVW5430MW1). I came home to find the washing machine had locked mid-cycle with a full tub of water! I managed to get the lid unlocked following YouTube tutorials on resetting. The service guy came out, thought he knew what the issue was, did a replacement, but the machine still wasn't working.

He said the control was bad and ordered a new one, and said he'd be back. A week later, he came back with a new control which immediately blew out my breaker and started smoking! He said the replacement control was bad and he'd need to order a new one. I have zero confidence in this washer at this point.

I probably only use it twice a week, so it's not like it's suffering from overuse! Now, I'm without a washing machine. I wish I had not purchased another Maytag.

I didn't realize they had been bought out by Whirlpool. I've owned Whirlpools with no issues, so I wish I had just chosen a different brand.
