This washing machine is the worst machine I've ever used and I am full-heartedly regretting the purchase of this unit. I've owned this unit for 1 1/2 years and have struggle the entire time to clean clothes.

I've had the machine serviced four times for white marks/residue left on my clothes. Prior to this unit I used an LG HE machine for over 15 years, and never an issue. I've cleaned my unit often trying to resolve the issue but nothing works. With this unit I use only a teaspoon of HE soap, wash in warm water (yes even dark clothes), deep fill, extra rinse and extra soil and still have white marks on my clothes.

And I've used five different HE liquid soaps. Maytag and warranty tech advise me to wash all my clothes in the bedding cycle on hot water. I just need to adjust my settings. Truly, is that the fix to this serious design defect?

Sorry consumer delicates for Maytag shortening your life cycle. Warranty tech say, "Unit operating within manufacture specs." Really? Do the spec truly state clothes should be left with white marks on clothing. For all of the features this unit offers, only one (bedding) cycle leaves the least amount of residue on my clothes.

Maytag does not disclose to the consumer prior to purchase that you should only wash in hot or warm water, extra rinse, deep fill, bedding .....

cycle. Maytag does not disclose that all those lovely features you purchased are for decoration only and this unit will shorten your clothes' life cycle! Maytag had a duty to disclose the adjustments needed to use this machine prior to consumer purchase! Furthermore, it is disturbing to see that repairs are a numbers game.

Techs love repairs but do not want to report a replacement is necessary because it's a bad mark on their numbers with the warranty companies. This unit cannot be replaced as it is "operating within manufacture specs."

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $800.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Since Maytag was sold, they have become " Maywork" . Not the units we had in the 50's and 60's that were virtually indestructible and easy to fix just in case.

Anything that comes in contact with Henry Crown Company in Chicago goes the way of the Dodo bird ; slowly piddling out before becoming extinct. They like to buy companies then ruin them ; I don't know why or understand it because I'm not a sophisticated big city greaseball.
