I have a Maytag gas range stove, when the control panel getting hot, the control panel (part number: 7601p552-60) stops working, and shows F1 error. I did troubleshooting and found the "cancel" button circuit was shorted to the base metal on the touchpad due to deformation at high temperature.
I removed the touchpad and lifted the top plastic layer, pushed the cancel spot out and reinstall. It worked for another month. But the same problem comes back very often, and I keep doing the same fix! Today, during self clean, the oven stopped working and showed F1 error!
I did the same repair, but it didn't work this time!
I have tried half day . Any better idea to fix it?
