After using 5 times the door would not stay closed and leaked. Contacted retailer who had service come and they said it was the latch and eventually replaced latch.

This did not however fix the problem. Had another service call from retailer, they where again going to replace latch, but never got back to me. Decided to go right to Whirlpool for help. They scheduled their service man from this area, who had to call them while he was hear to explain what the situation was.

They then decided it was the inside of the door panel, so they ordered a new one. Meanwhile, the BRAND NEW DISHWASHER I purchased was useless. When service man arrived to repace door panel it was not the right one. He again called whirlpool service while here and they now decided it was the upper rack rail causing the door not to close.

So they are going to order and replace. So...... after having my door taken apart 4 times by service people, my BRAND NEW DISHWASHER, is a piece of *** that still does not work. A new appliance should not have to be repaired after using 5 times.

I have asked repeatedly to get a new replacement, and all I get is shotty service. If it wouldn't be that I would be out a heck of alot of money , I would take this piece of *** out and toss it in their store. As of now, I will never buy another Whirlpool product. This is know way to run a business.

People dont purchase new appliances to have them serviced, I could have done that to my old one!!!!! Please get me a new working dishwasher!!!! You should be ashamed of yourself.

I hope with todays use of social media I can reach enough people to warn them of Whirlpools poor customer service and spare further consumers from this fiasco. My recommendation would ge to steer clear of all Whirlpool products.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Maytag Pros: That i could reach them through an 800 number.

Maytag Cons: Will not stand behind product, Having my time wasted.

Absolutely horrible experience with this dishwasher AND with Whirlpool customer service. DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER.

This has leaked from Day One, Whirlpool has sent a technician multiple times, replaced several parts and it is still a piece of leaking crud. This is a 5 month ordeal. Their own technician recommended replacing it as he couldn't fix it and Whirlpool refuses. Instead they are replacing the dish rack.

How will that fix a leak on the BOTTOM? Whirlpool customer service also lied to us (said the technician had not filed a report) and we caught them (we phoned the technician), then they changed their story. BRUTAL experience. The bored Maytag service guy from the commercials?

Not so bored anymore.

Be prepared. Sounds EXACTLY like your experience.
